What a roller coaster. Yesterday it completely looked like Cobweb was done. She wasn't eating, drinking, responding to our voices or touch, or moving. Shannon and I both believed that she would either die in the night or need to be put down this morning. But this morning we found her alert, purring in response to attention, eager for treats, and blithely walking all the way downstairs for a long drink of water ... twice!

She has spent the day lolling about, but it isn't the withdrawn silence of yesterday. She just seems like Cobweb, sleeping the day away. When I say hello to her she wakes up and blinks at me.

We don't fool ourselves that this means much. I'm just happy that she's getting to have another good day.
