me blue hair

(no subject)

A relaxed day. Did a bit of proofreading (nothing particularly exciting), washed my hair, did dishes, ended up deciding to walk up to Trader Joe's to get Cobweb the wet food that will feed her all the way through our trip at the end of the month. Shannon said, "If you want to swing by Taco Bell on the way home, I'll come with you." Well, a 2.5-mile walk with Shannon is much preferable to a 2.5--mile walk listening to a book about quirky hand-replacement surgeries and uncomfortable relationships with dogs and pets and whatever. I'm hoping to finish reading The Fourth Hand by the time we head out to Hawaii so that I have more more on my iPod for other books.

My bottom lip is being a literal pain. It's terribly chapped and keeps splitting and bleeding. When I kiss Shannon, his mustache makes me say ow ow ow. I put lip balm on my lip a few times a day, but it seems like constant vigilance is the only way to true vanquishing the problem. I'm not so good at constant vigilance when the topic is my own health.

I've been watching a lot of stuff on YouTube the past few days, and today Shannon, in what sounded like a disapproving voice, referred to, "All those illegal videos you've been watching." It hadn't occurred to me that they were illegal. I don't steal music, for example. So now I'm feeling all ethically torn: to YouTube or not to YouTube, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of feeling like a thief, or by opposing end them.

Okey-dokey. I'm a sleepy gal in Christmas pyjamas that were given to me by my mother-in-law. Perhaps I should go lay down somewhere instead of slouching over my computer. Good night. Pleasant dreams. I hope tomorrow is a great day for you and someone pays you a great compliment and your clothes flatter your figure and you really like how your hair turns out and you solve some big problem at work that has been bugging you for ages. And some unexpected, but welcome, gives you a big hug.
