Shannon & I worked out a plan for the whole yarn money situation. All is well on that score. I've now completed five rows of green & have had to stop, because I need to wait until my order of the blue yarn arrives, or the green stripe will end up wider than I want it to be. Perhaps I should start a purple stripe, rather than waiting for the blue, just to keep myself occupied. But if I'm going to make The Most Expensive Afghan Ever, I'd rather it be what I want, instead of just using whatever yarn I happen to have on hand.

Well, the yarn was supposed to go in the mail to Cakes and Purls on Thursday or Friday, so I expect it should arrive within the next couple of days.

In the meantime, I continue to experience withdrawal symptoms, though I had hoped they'd be gone by now. The nausea is the worst & the most disruptive to my life.

Upon observing the results of some experiments, I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the OTC Tylenol has no effect on my headaches, so I've stopped taking it. The headaches are still bad, but not worse, and I'm no longer taking a bunch of pills for absolutely no reason. I like that part. The part I don't like is the part where this means I currently don't have much I can do about the headaches. My kidney disease prevents me from using most other pain meds, which is why they gave me the codeine in the first place.

That damn Evil Meds Doc! Everything is HIS fault.

In any case, I'm grabbing my opportunities for fun when windows of opportunity present themselves, when I notice a lack of nausea or a reduction in headache intensity.

Last night I had almost complete insomnia, only dozing on the couch a bit here & there over the course of the evening. So ... very ... tired!
