No Juliet for me

Woke up with my headache completely unaffected by 6 hours of sleep, i.e., still raging. I took 2 Tylenol #4 tablets 4 hours ago & I've seen basically no improvement. Nearly a whole day now of unrelenting headache. Time for a Poor Man's Mocha (a beverage of my own invention, consisting of heaps of instant coffee mixed with a packet of instant hot cocoa, both from the Dollar Store). I've never noticed it helping—not like the apparently ultra-caffeinated mochas from Peet's, which definitely do make a difference—but it's worth a try. Physical therapy stretches, heated pad on the back of my neck, extra acetaminophen: I'm just bombarding this fucker with everything I've got in hopes that something will have an effect eventually.

I had to cancel my date with Sara to varnish Juliet, which has me all verklempt. I was really really excited to get this project moving, to finally start working with the canvas, and Sara doesn't have lots of time available to help, and she's the only one who knows how to do the stuff that's required (we need to dilute the varnish with a certain ratio of solvent, use certain brush techniques, etc.), so I feel like I'm missing my chance.

Well, I guess we can spend our usual therapy hour on Monday varnishing a painting instead of talking about emotions. No reason we can't do both at the same time, I suppose.
