I'm not sure if this is all due to the cataract, but it's getting pretty distressing. My headache right now is so so terrible, even though I took 2 Tylenol #3 pills 45 minutes ago. When I saw my doctor on Thursday, she couldn't find any other pain medications that wouldn't harm my kidneys, but she ended up prescribing one that was only slightly dangerous. Then the pharmacy wouldn't fill it because it conflicts somehow with one of my other medications (Zoloft). And I forgot to ask her for a Rx for more Tylenol #3, so I only have 11 pills left of the only med that's currently available to me.
Right now I'm waiting for a call back from my dr office's doctor on call, because I don't know what to do.
The pain isn't so bad that I can't function at all, but it's getting there. And it's certainly not a level of pain that I want to experience so much of the time if there's anything I can do to avoid it. But if there are no other pain medications that are safe for my kidneys, I'm not sure what I can do. Shannon recommends caffeine, so I'll probably go eat some coffee ice cream when I finish writing this, then go buy some Mountain Dew when the stores are open. I'm also going to research other non-drug ways to deal with the headaches, though I'm not sure they'll do much for them when they're this bad. I've got to try something.
Anyway, I just wanted to vent. I'm waiting to hear from the doctor.
