9 a.m. (or so) - the (sadly final) episode of "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" is released
noon (or so) - lunch at Zachary's with Lisa (stuffed spinach and mushroom -- my order is already planned)
3:30 p.m. - Crystal, Susan, and Julia will join Lisa and me at Lisa's house for a showing of Hayao Miyazaki's Academy Award-winning "Spirited Away," which happens to be one of my favorite movies ever in the history of movies, while we eat onigiri (rice balls) from Berkeley Bowl and ice cream mochi from Trader Joe's, and random weird snacks I got at the Daiso store. Also, Lisa has threatened to bake a chocolate birthday cake, if the urge strikes her. Also, Lisa has indicated an intention to stock her refrigerator with orange San Pellegrino for the occasion.
7 p.m. (or so) - dinner from Off the Grid (food trucks)
And then, on Sunday, Shannon and I will celebrate with a walk in Tilden Park (probably) and dinner at La Mediterranee (certainly).
I've been having a bad, sad, hopeless kind of day today -- suffering from a lack of faith in the Supreme Court and some kind of wacky brain chemicals -- and so having birthday plans established has cheered me up considerably.
