Munchkin's health is kind of up and down right now. Sometimes she sort of walks slowly around, sometimes she sits on Shannon's hard drive, sometimes she sits in a windowsill, and sometimes she lies for long periods of time on the bathroom rug. Often when she lies on the bathroom rug, she sleeps so soundly and looks so limp that she frightens both Shannon and me. She sometimes makes a pathetic kind of meowl (a cross between a yowl and a meow). Her breath has become increasingly bad over the last week or so, as Cobweb's did in her final 2 or 3 weeks.

I've been getting really bad headaches every day, which hasn't happened in years. Aleve -- which in the past has worked pretty reliably -- doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. Stress is no doubt the cause, but the fact that the headaches seem impervious to drugs is wearing on me.

I've been doing quite a bit of art lately, spending 2 or 3 hours at the CWC art studio on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. It's hard to motivate myself to work on projects at home, because it seems like there are always dishes or laundry or dying cats to distract me, so I'm glad I have somewhere to go where I can just focus on creating things I find beautiful, things that get my hands dirty and put me in a different, less draining, more revitalizing, more harmonious relationship to the world.

That reminds me: I need to go dive back into the wonderful world of laundry.
