Lilo & Stitch

It's all mousme's fault.

Tonight we watched Lilo & Stitch, and I loved it. I liked it far more than I expected to, partially because the Hawai'ian setting felt so accurate. All kinds of stuff kept reminding me of our trip to Kaua'i, even down to the endangered green sea turtles! Plus, I laughed, and I cried, and I even honestly thought the alien was cute (even though I was sure I wouldn't). And there were some scenes that still have me laughing an hour later. There's a San Francisco bit that had me almost falling off the couch.

I hate Disney with a burning passion ... but I'm almost tempted to buy this movie on DVD. Probably not tempted enough to actually do it, but the temptation is there.

Lilo & Stitch was fantastic. Loved it.

But then I also loved "The Emperor's New Groove", "The Lion King" and a host of other Disney's.

Indeed. I'm afraid I firmly fall into the 'Disney rocks' camp. I'd love to hate them, but I just can't.

"Lilo and Stitch" is one of my favorite recent Disneys. Among other reasons, Nani makes it onto the list of "ten hottest animated babes."

Re:
That's probably because she's shaped at least somewhat like a real person. Yeah, her waist is unnaturally small, but she's got a butt on her, and some meaty thighs. I thought she was hot, too. :)

I loved it, too. The part where he was sitting out in the woods, waiting for his family to find him like in The Ugly Duckling, made me cry for the whole rest of the movie, though.

That whole movie made me bawl from beginning to end, but that scene in particular just made me dissolve into a puddle all five times I saw it.

*g*

Can we tell I liked the movie?

Aww, thanks. :)

Actually, all my userpics are based on Lilo & Stitch now. :)

The San Francisco scene was pretty damned funny. *g*

I saw the movie five times and sobbed all the way through it all five times. Okay, by the fifth time I wasn't sobbing uncontrollably, but I still teared up almost constantly. :)

Did I mention this movie rocked?

Indeed you did ... and that's why we rented it ... and that's why we loved it, despite hating Disney ... and that's why it's all your fault! ;)

I live to serve and to corrupt people to the coolness that is Lilo & Stitch. :)

Glad you liked it. I thought you might, actually.
