Late Night / Early Morning Random Ramble

I love the sound of Cobweb snoring in the papasan chair. Something about it is just so soothing. Interesting how the sound of Shannon snoring in the bed isn't nearly as sweet.

Tonight the hubby and I watched an episode of "South Park" that was recorded on the TiVo, and it made me laugh so hard I probably woke our neighbors. It was a twist on the old cartoon "The Super Friends", with Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna, Joseph Smith, and Sea Man (with his side-kick, "Swallow", *snicker*) as "The Super Best Friends".

What kept making me laugh so hard was how everyone kept exclaiming, "Jesus!" all the time, including Jesus himself, at one point, when something shocked him and he exclaimed, "Jesus Christ!" Hee! Plus, Jesus used his incredible powers of carpentry at one point. Hee! I should really watch South Park more often, because the irreverent sense of humor really cracks me up.

Shannon and I have taken to adding "bitch!" onto all of our mind-readings of the cats. When Cobweb looks at Shannon sitting in the papasan, Shannon will speculate that she is thinking, "Get out of my chair ... BITCH!" When Munchkin stares at me because I'm all wadded up on the couch and am not making a proper lap, one of us will theorize that she's thinking, "Move your legs ... BITCH!" When Shannon opens a can in the kitchen and the cats come to watch him, one of us will usually say something like, "Give me tuna ... BITCH!"

For some reason, this whole "bitch!" thing cracks us up almost every time. We can crack each other up fairly reliably by just adding "bitch!" onto the end of almost any sentence, whether it concerns the cats or not.

Yeah, we're mature.

Oh, speaking of things that crack me up, we recently watched "Men In Black II", and in my opinion, it contained only one truly hilarious moment: Every time I even think about the alien dog barking along with that "Who Let The Dogs Out" song, I giggle. That was great. I thought the rest of the movie was mediocre. Shannon enjoyed the evil woman's breasts, though, despite their smallness. He's an equal opportunity breast man.

The recent South Parks have been amazing, tis true. The episode "Red Hot Catholic Love" where the local priest goes to he Vatican to protest about Child Abuse was ridiculously offensive and made me fall of my chair repeatedly.

South Park is my single favorite show. Norman Lear is writing with Parker & Stone now. I love it and am glad to see the SP love.

Yeah, MIIB was pretty lame. Not a patch on the original. The breasts were nice though... ;+)

South Park was always a kind of hit and miss thing for me. The ones that were funny were really funny. The ones that weren't were really annoying.

I loved the one where the kid (see, I watch it soooo often that I know all the names by heart, I'm just too cool to use them!) falls off the bull and thinks he's a Vietnamese whore. Heh, makes me snigger just thinking about it ;)

"Me love you looooong time, five dollah!"

Bwahahahhahahaa!! I loved that episode! My friends and I used to make it a tradition to get together and watch the new episodes together, haven't done it in years, though.

One of my favorites will always be the one where the kids are learning about corporations in school, and their little friend Tweek's dad owns a coffee house. A Starbuck's-like place gets built right next door, and the kids all try to learn how to save Tweek's dad's place. What makes this episode priceless for me, I can explain in two words: Underpants Gnomes. Oh hell yeah.

Foul-mouthed cats
We've decided that our cat's favorite expression is "Fuck this shit." She just has this particular disdainful look that she gets right before she stalks off in a huff, for whatever reason, and it seems to fit.
We laugh at this more than is probably normal for two alleged adults.

Cat snoring is adorable. I love cats.

Though I just now looked over, and the brown one is presently eating her own vomit.

Hhmmn.

Little kitty sniffle-sighs are infinitely cuter than human chainsaws. I can't sleep at home unless there is at least one room between my mother and me. I tried once to sleep in a place where our headboards were against a shared wall... Dad and I met out in the hall and said, "Nope, not sleeping tonight." Granted my mother's snoring is a bit excessive.

Good times. Another good part was when stan and kyle couldn't find each other, and they kept shouting "Oh my god! They killed kenny!"
"-those bastards!"

.. after seeing that ep, I tried to eat my own head. Sadly, I've got much more studying as a blaintologist before I can do that.

Hey- today's wednesday. New ep tonight. :o ..wow, that was a lot of south park ramblings >.o
